The Behavior of the Slope of Elastic Nucleon Scattering at Small Transfer Momenta and Recent Ua4 Data

Theoretical predictions for the behavior of the slope of the nucleon-nucleon scattering and another parameters of the differential cross sections in the framework of the dynamic model are compared with the recent UA4 data at small transfer momenta and at the centre-of-mass energy of 541 GeV. The predictions at superhigh energies are considered.Comment: 6 pages, 1 fig.-fig.ps, LATEX., JINR E2-93-43

    MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF THE SKATEBOARD

    Get PDF
In the present paper we construct the mathematical model, describing the motion of the rider on a skateboard. The motion of the model is described in the absence of rider control. The equations of motion of the model are obtained in the form of Gibbs-Appell equations, and their stability analysis is fulfilled. The influence of different parameters of the model on its dynamics is investigated

Mirror symmetry for Del Pezzo surfaces: Vanishing cycles and coherent sheaves

We study homological mirror symmetry for Del Pezzo surfaces and their mirror Landau-Ginzburg models. In particular, we show that the derived category of coherent sheaves on a Del Pezzo surface X_k obtained by blowing up CP^2 at k points is equivalent to the derived category of vanishing cycles of a certain elliptic fibration W_k:M_k\to\C with k+3 singular fibers, equipped with a suitable symplectic form. Moreover, we also show that this mirror correspondence between derived categories can be extended to noncommutative deformations of X_k, and give an explicit correspondence between the deformation parameters for X_k and the cohomology class [B+i\omega]\in H^2(M_k,C).Comment: 40 pages, 9 figure

Deep inelastic eτe-\tau and μτ\mu-\tau conversion in the NA64 experiment at the CERN SPS

We study the Lepton Flavor Violating (LFV) e(μ)τe(\mu)-\tau conversion in Deep Inelastic Scattering (DIS) of electron (muon) on fixed-target nuclei. Our model-independent analysis is based on the set of the low-energy effective four-fermion LFV operators composed of leptons and quarks with the corresponding mass scales Λk\Lambda_{k} for each operator. Using the estimated sensitivity of the search for this LFV process in events with large missing energy in the NA64 experiment at the CERN SPS, we derive lower limits for Λk\Lambda_{k} and compared them with the corresponding limits existing in the literature. We show that the DIS e(μ)τe(\mu)-\tau conversion is able to provide a plenty of new limits as yet non-existing in the literature. We also analyzed the energy spectrum of the final-state τ\tau and discussed viability of the observation of this process in the NA64 experiment and ones akin to it. The case of polarized beams and targets is also discussed.Comment: 18 page

Application of Finite Elements Method for Improvement of Acoustic Emission Testing

    Get PDF
The paper deals with the acoustic emission sensor modeling by means of FEM system COSMOS/M. The following types of acoustic waves in the acoustic emission sensors are investigated: the longitudinal wave and transversal wave. As a material is used piezoelectric ceramics. The computed displacements are compared with physical model under consideration. The results of numerical and physical simulations of the processes of acoustic wave propagation in solebar of the freight-car truck are presented. The fields of dynamic displacements and stresses were calculated for improvement of acoustic emission testing method
